Molybdenum is a silvery-white metal and is found in a variety of compounds such as ammonium molybdate, sodium molybdate, and molybdenum trioxide. Roasted molybdenum concentrate is a type of molybdenum ore that has been treated to increase its molybdenum content. These compounds have a variety of uses, from refinery catalytic systems to water treatment to metal plating and welding.
